Botanical Name:  Syngonium podophyllum ‘Strawberry’

Common Names:  Strawberry Syngonium, Strawberry Arrowhead, Pink Syngonium

Description:

Syngonium Strawberry is the plant equivalent of seeing your favorite 90s band reunion — soft pink tones, a little nostalgia, and an instant serotonin boost. Its arrow-shaped leaves unfurl in shades of creamy blush, rosy pink, and soft green, giving it that dreamy “strawberries-and-cream” look that plant parents cannot resist.

Compact, fast-growing, and delightfully forgiving, this is the kind of plant that makes you feel like you’ve got your life together… even on the days when you’re eating cold pizza over the sink. It works beautifully as a tabletop accent when young, and can climb or trail as it matures.

Watering:

Allow soil to dry 25–50% between waterings. This one likes to stay lightly moist but not soaked — we’re going for “freshly wrung-out sponge,” not “mid-Atlantic humidity.”

Lighting:

Enjoys a bright indirect view of the sky. More light encourages deeper pink tones, but avoid harsh direct rays that can fade or crisp the foliage.

Pet Safety:

Not pet-friendly. Keep out of reach of nibbling pets and curious toddlers with opinions.

Fleurish Tip:

Give your Strawberry a moss pole or small trellis and watch her glow up — the leaves get bigger and the pink gets richer when she has something to climb. A little support goes a long way… kind of like us in the 90s when someone held the boombox so the mixtape didn’t wobble.
