Description

Calathea makoyana, commonly known as the Peacock Plant, is loved for its beautifully patterned foliage. Its soft green leaves feature darker green oval markings that resemble the eye-like pattern of peacock feathers, while the undersides bring in contrasting purple tones.

Like other prayer plants, its leaves naturally move throughout the day in response to changing light, giving this plant a little extra personality.

🌤️ Light: Give your Peacock Plant a bright to medium indirect view of the sky. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch or fade the foliage.

💧 Water: Water when the soil is approximately 25% dry. Calathea makoyana prefers consistently lightly moist soil but should never remain soggy.

💦 Humidity: This tropical plant appreciates moderate to higher humidity. Keep it away from heating vents, air-conditioning drafts, and especially dry areas.
