This quirky plant features thick, spiky, four-sided stems that form an eye-catching clump, but the real show begins when it blooms. Its incredible flowers resemble a striped candy lifesaver, complete with a glossy raised center that makes this one of nature's most fascinating creations.

These are recently potted cuttings. While each cutting has been planted to begin establishing, some may not yet have developed roots at the time of shipping. With proper care and a little patience, they'll continue rooting and growing into healthy, mature plants.

Thrives with a wide view of the sky.

Bright, indirect light or several hours of gentle morning sun encourages healthy growth and flowering. Avoid prolonged harsh afternoon sunlight.

Water thoroughly, then allow the soil to dry 100% before watering again.

Like most succulents, the Lifesaver Cactus stores water in its stems and is highly drought tolerant. Always allow excess water to drain completely.

Prefers temperatures between 60–85°F.

Protect from frost and temperatures below 50°F. Warm, dry indoor conditions are ideal.

Use a fast-draining cactus or succulent potting mix and always plant in a container with drainage holes.
