Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera
Botanical Name: Aloe barbadensis miller
💚 Common Names: Chinese Aloe, First Aid Plant, Burn Aloe, True Aloe
Description:
Aloe Vera is a classic, no-nonsense succulent known for its thick, fleshy leaves lined with soft teeth and packed with that soothing gel everyone reaches for after a little too much sun. Native to the Arabian Peninsula, it’s both an ornamental plant and a practical one—low maintenance, resilient, and occasionally rewarding you with tall spikes of yellow tubular flowers when it’s really feeling itself.
Water:
Allow soil to dry 100% before watering. Aloe prefers to stay on the dry side and does not tolerate overwatering.
Light:
Thrives in bright, indirect light with an indirect view of the sky. Can handle some direct sun, especially morning light.
Pet Safety:
Toxic to pets if ingested.
FEATURES:
• Beginner-friendly and low maintenance
• Drought-tolerant succulent
• Known for soothing gel inside leaves
• Compact growth—great for desks, kitchens, and sunny shelves
• Can produce yellow blooms when mature and happy
🌿 Fleurish Tip:
If you’re not sure whether to water your Aloe… don’t. This is your “less is more” plant. Overwatering is the fastest way to turn this healing hero into a mushy mess—so let it dry out completely and then give it a good soak.
