Description: Despite its name, the Sago Palm isn’t a true palm but a cycad — an ancient group of plants that has existed since the time of dinosaurs. Known for its perfect symmetry, the Sago Palm grows a striking crown of stiff, glossy dark green fronds on a stout, shaggy trunk that can reach up to 8 inches (20 cm) in diameter. This slow-growing plant makes a bold and architectural statement in homes, offices, and outdoor patios.

Care Instructions:

• Light: Wide view of the sky. Prefers bright, indirect sunlight but can handle some direct morning or late afternoon sun.

• Water: Keep soil damp to the touch in summer. Allow the top 25% to dry between waterings. In winter, let the soil dry 50% before watering. Avoid overwatering, as this plant is sensitive to soggy soil.

• Humidity: Tolerates average household humidity.

• Soil: Well-draining sandy or loamy soil mix.

• Temperature: Thrives between 65–75°F. Protect from frost and cold drafts.
